Terms of Service

Effective October 24, 2026 · Last updated October 25, 2026

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Dominion Apex Labs LLC, a Tennessee limited liability company ("MOEV," "we," "us" or "our"). They govern your access to and use of the MOEV mobile application, the website at moev.app, the MOEV feed and any other product or feature that links to these Terms (collectively, the "Service").

At a glance

This summary is provided for convenience and does not replace the Terms. If it differs from the Terms, the Terms control.

Arbitration notice. Section 23 requires you and MOEV to resolve most disputes through binding individual arbitration and waives class actions and jury trials. You may opt out within 30 days as described in Section 23.9.

1. Acceptance of these Terms

You accept these Terms when you check a box that refers to them, create an account, start or join a roll, or otherwise use the Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The following documents are incorporated into these Terms by reference: the Privacy Policy, the Community Guidelines, the Copyright Policy and, if you participate, the Ambassador Terms. The MOEV Promise and the Safety Center describe our practices and commitments.

In these Terms, "Content" means photos, reveals, roll names, comments, reactions, profile information and any other material made available through the Service. A "roll" is a shared or individual set of photos taken with the MOEV camera; the "host" is the person who started it; a "participant" is anyone who joins it; and a "reveal" is the video and set of photos produced when a roll develops.

4. The Service

Rolls and reveals

MOEV works like a disposable camera: there is no preview, no retake and no filter. Photos are added to a roll that you may shoot alone or share by code or QR code. Photos remain hidden from every participant, including the photographer, until the roll develops, except as needed for safety review. When the host closes a roll, it develops after the period that applies to that roll and becomes a reveal. Shot counts, develop times and reveal lengths depend on your plan, and these and group sizes may change. Stated reveal lengths are maximums.

Automated editing

MOEV's software, including AI tools, selects, orders, crops and times the photos in a reveal and sets them to music. The software may omit photos that are blank, unusable, duplicative or not approved by the safety review. MOEV does not guarantee any particular edit or that every photo will appear in a reveal.

Automatic development

If a host does not close a roll, it develops automatically 30 days after its last activity (a new photo, a new participant or the host choosing to keep it open). We notify the host at least 3 days in advance, and the host may keep the roll open as often as desired. A roll with no photos is retired 30 days after its last activity.

Changes and features in development

We may add, change, limit or discontinue features, plans, music and limits. Some features described in these Terms are not yet available or are available only to some users; those provisions apply when and to the extent the feature is offered. If we discontinue a paid feature you are currently paying for, we will notify you in advance where practicable. Features labeled beta or test may not function as expected and may end.

5. Public and private rolls

6. Leaving a roll

A participant may leave a roll, and a host may remove a participant while the roll is still open for photos. If a participant leaves or is removed while the roll is still open for photos, that participant's photos are deleted. If a participant leaves after the roll has closed but before the reveal is delivered, their photos remain part of the reveal unless they ask for them to be removed, in which case the reveal is produced again without them. Once a reveal is delivered, it stays whole: a participant who leaves keeps no access, their photos remain part of it, and they may still ask to be blurred under Section 11. A participant removed by the host cannot rejoin that roll. A host cannot leave their own roll but may close it or make it private.

7. People who appear in Content

MOEV is built on the principle that the people in a photo should have a say in how it is shared. When you take photos with MOEV, you agree that:

Any person who appears in a reveal, whether or not they use MOEV, may ask to be blurred as described in Section 11.

8. Your Content and license

Ownership

"Your Content" means the photos you take with MOEV and the roll names, places, comments, reactions, profile information, reports and other material you submit. You retain all ownership rights you have in Your Content. A reveal is a compilation produced by MOEV from the participants' photos: each participant retains their rights in their own photos, and MOEV retains its rights in the edit, music, graphics and software.

License to MOEV

You grant Dominion Apex Labs LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license, transferable only in connection with a sale of the Service and sublicensable only to service providers acting on our behalf, to host, store, reproduce, scan, process, edit, crop, resize, blur, set to music, combine with other photos in the same roll, create reveals and thumbnails from, display, perform and distribute Your Content, in each case solely:

Use outside the Service

MOEV will not use your photos or reveals in advertising, on its own social media accounts, in press materials or in any other promotion outside the Service unless the host has enabled "Let MOEV share" for that reveal and no participant has selected "Don't feature me." We will blur or omit any person who asks. Rolls that include a teen are never used for marketing.

Duration

This license ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except for: (a) photos you took in another person's roll whose reveal has already been delivered (developed and its countdown ended), which remain part of that reveal, detached from your account; (b) a roll you hosted that others joined, which passes to another participant, with your photos in it treated as described in (a); (c) copies others have already saved or shared; (d) copies in backups, which expire on their regular schedule; (e) Content we must retain for legal, safety or dispute-resolution purposes; and (f) a marketing use already made under "Let MOEV share," which we will withdraw within a reasonable time on request.

No sale and no outside AI training

We do not sell Your Content, and we do not license it to any third party to train that party's artificial intelligence or machine learning models. We may use Your Content, together with information about how reveals are created and watched, to develop and improve the Service, including to train, test and evaluate MOEV's own models (for example, models that select shots, pacing, music and transitions). These models are used only to operate and improve MOEV, are not used to identify any person, and are not trained on Content from accounts of users under 18. You may ask us to exclude your Content from this use at any time by contacting hello@moev.app, as described in our Privacy Policy. We use outside AI providers only to review and edit photos on your behalf, and we select providers whose terms do not permit them to train on data we send.

Your representations

You represent that you have the rights necessary to grant this license and that Your Content, and our use of it under these Terms, will not violate any law or the rights of any person, including rights of privacy, publicity and copyright. Photos added to a roll must be taken with the MOEV camera for that roll.

Feedback

If you submit ideas or suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.

9. Acceptable use

You agree to follow the Community Guidelines, which describe the content and conduct that are not permitted, including content that sexualizes or endangers minors, nudity and sexual content, non-consensual intimate imagery, harassment, hateful conduct, violent content, promotion of self-harm, illegal activity, infringement and impersonation. In addition, you may not:

10. Safety review and enforcement

Every photo is automatically checked for safety by an AI service before it can be shared publicly. Nothing is used to identify people.

11. Removal and blurring requests

12. Feed, profiles and interactions

13. Notifications and text messages

We send service emails, such as sign-in codes, notices that a reveal is ready and roll reminders. If you allow notifications on your device, we may send push notifications, which you can turn off in your device settings or in the app.

Where text messaging is available, you may opt in to text alerts. If you do, MOEV (Dominion Apex Labs LLC) will send a text when your rolls develop (approximately one message per roll) and any sign-in codes you request. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help, or email hello@moev.app. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of using the Service or of any purchase. We do not send marketing texts. See the Privacy Policy for how we handle your number. When teen accounts are available, we will contact a parent or guardian by email or text only to request and confirm approval.

14. Subscriptions and purchases

Plans

The Service is available free of charge with limits. Paid subscription plans add photos, rolls, faster development and longer reveals, and are offered on a monthly or annual basis. We may also offer one-time purchases, such as an additional roll or a credit that shortens a closed roll's develop time. Prices and plan features are shown in the app before purchase and may vary by store and region.

Billing

In-app purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their terms and charged to your Apple or Google account when you confirm the purchase. MOEV does not receive your payment card number. If we offer purchases directly on the website, the applicable terms will be presented at checkout.

Automatic renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period, until you cancel. You may cancel at any time in your Apple or Google Play subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period, and paid features remain available until then. Deleting the app or your MOEV account does not cancel a subscription.

Free trials

A plan may include a 7-day free trial, available once per person. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the trial converts to a paid subscription and you will be charged for the billing period you selected and on each renewal. The price, billing period and trial end date are shown before you start the trial.

Price changes

We may change prices with advance notice. The app stores will request your consent where their rules or the law require. A new price applies from the first renewal after notice. If you do not agree, cancel before the renewal date.

Refunds

Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. Except where required by law, purchases are non-refundable and no credit is given for partial periods or unused photos or credits. One-time purchases and credits have no cash value, are non-transferable and end when an account is closed.

State automatic renewal laws

If you reside in a state with automatic renewal laws, you have all rights those laws provide, including clear disclosure before purchase, acknowledgment after purchase, an online cancellation method and any required advance reminders. If a store's process does not provide something your state requires, contact hello@moev.app and we will address it.

Taxes

Prices may not include applicable taxes, which the app stores collect where required.

15. Ambassador Program

Where MOEV makes it available, the MOEV Ambassador Program allows account holders to share a personal referral link. Cash commissions are available only to participants 18 or older and only once MOEV enables payouts, and are governed by the Ambassador Terms. Participation is free and never requires a purchase. The program is not employment or a business opportunity, and most participants will earn little or nothing. Participants must clearly disclose that they may earn from their link.

Frames. Where MOEV makes it available, you can earn Frames, a reward for using MOEV and bringing people who use it (for example, daily, weekly, monthly and yearly missions such as hosting or shooting in a roll that develops, or when a person who joined through your link shoots in a roll that develops). From time to time MOEV may run limited-time events that increase the Frames earned for activity during the event, and may show badges for milestones; badges have no value of their own. Frames are never given for opening the app, for posting or sharing to other services, or for ratings or reviews. Frames can be used only for the MOEV rewards shown in the Service, such as 1-Hour Develop credits or plan time; some rewards, such as plan time, can be used only on a limited schedule or once people you invited are active, as shown in the Service. Frames are not money or property: they cannot be bought, sold, cashed out, transferred or combined between accounts, and they have no cash value. Frames expire after 12 months with no earning or spending, and are removed if an account is deleted or if MOEV finds them earned through fake accounts or other abuse. People who join through your link receive no reward for joining. MOEV may change how Frames are earned or used, or end Frames, with notice in the Service; rewards already received are not affected.

16. MOEV property and music

MOEV respects intellectual property rights. If you believe Content on the Service infringes your copyright, please follow the Copyright Policy to notify our designated agent. MOEV terminates the accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.

18. Third-party services and app stores

The Service relies on and may link to services operated by others, such as app stores, sign-in providers, social platforms and our service providers. Their terms and privacy policies govern your use of them, and MOEV is not responsible for them.

Apple App Store

If you obtained the app from Apple's App Store:

If you obtained the app from Google Play, Google's terms also apply to your purchase, and Google is not responsible for the app.

19. Disclaimers

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE. MOEV DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE OR ERROR-FREE; THAT ANY PHOTO WILL BE CAPTURED, UPLOADED, RETAINED OR INCLUDED IN A REVEAL; THAT A REVEAL WILL BE READY BY A PARTICULAR TIME; THAT AUTOMATED SAFETY REVIEW WILL DETECT ALL PROHIBITED CONTENT OR WILL NOT MAKE ERRORS; OR THAT CONTENT PROVIDED BY OTHER USERS WILL BE ACCURATE, LAWFUL OR APPROPRIATE. YOU SHOULD KEEP YOUR OWN COPIES OF CONTENT THAT IS IMPORTANT TO YOU. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so some of these may not apply to you.

20. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NEITHER MOEV NOR ITS MEMBERS, MANAGERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AGENTS, LICENSORS OR SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, CONTENT, GOODWILL OR OPPORTUNITY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS, WHETHER OR NOT ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES AND REGARDLESS OF THE LEGAL THEORY.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MOEV'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

These limitations are an essential basis of the bargain between you and MOEV and apply even if a remedy fails of its essential purpose. They do not limit liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, fraud, or death or personal injury caused by negligence, and they do not affect non-waivable rights under consumer protection laws.

21. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Dominion Apex Labs LLC and its members, managers, employees, contractors and agents from and against any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, fines, costs and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to Your Content, your use of the Service, your breach of these Terms or the Community Guidelines, or your violation of any law or the rights of any person, including the privacy or publicity rights of people you photograph. MOEV may assume the defense of any claim at its own expense, and you will cooperate. This section does not require you to indemnify MOEV for its own negligence or misconduct. For a teen account, this section applies to the approving parent or guardian to the extent permitted by law.

22. Suspension and termination

23. Dispute resolution and arbitration

Please read this section carefully. It affects your legal rights.

23.1 Informal resolution

Before beginning arbitration or a small claims action, you and MOEV each agree to send the other a written Notice of Dispute describing the claim and the relief requested, with the sender's name, account email and contact information. Send your Notice to hello@moev.app with the subject "Notice of Dispute". We will send ours to the email address on your account. For 60 days after a Notice is received, the parties will attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute, including by telephone or video conference at either party's request, which you agree to attend personally (with counsel if you wish). Any limitations period is tolled during this period.

23.2 Agreement to arbitrate

If the dispute is not resolved, you and MOEV agree that any dispute, claim or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, including the formation, scope, enforceability or validity of this Section (each, a "Claim"), will be resolved by binding individual arbitration, except as provided in Section 23.4. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this Section. There is no judge or jury in arbitration and court review of an award is limited, but the arbitrator may award the same individual relief a court could.

23.3 Procedure

The arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under its Consumer Arbitration Rules then in effect, as modified by this Section, before a single arbitrator. Unless the parties agree otherwise, any hearing will be held by video or telephone or, if in person, in the county where you reside or in Knox County, Tennessee, at your election. Claims of $10,000 or less may be decided on written submissions unless the arbitrator determines a hearing is necessary. Filing, administration and arbitrator fees are governed by the AAA rules, and MOEV will pay any such fees that exceed what you would pay to file in court. Each party bears its own attorneys' fees unless the law or the arbitrator provides otherwise. The arbitrator must follow these Terms and applicable law and issue a reasoned written decision.

23.4 Exceptions

Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court in the county where you reside or in Knox County, Tennessee, if the claim qualifies and remains there. Either party may seek relief in court to stop infringement or misuse of intellectual property or unauthorized access to the Service. Nothing in this Section prevents you from bringing a concern to a government agency.

23.5 Class action and jury trial waiver

YOU AND MOEV AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, COLLECTIVE, CONSOLIDATED OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. The arbitrator may award relief only in favor of the individual party seeking it and only to the extent necessary to resolve that party's individual claim. If a court determines that this paragraph is unenforceable as to a particular claim or remedy (such as public injunctive relief), that claim or remedy alone will be severed and decided in court after the individual arbitration concludes, and the parties will ask the court to stay it until then. TO THE EXTENT ANY CLAIM PROCEEDS IN COURT, YOU AND MOEV WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL.

23.6 Coordinated filings

If 25 or more similar Claims are filed against or by MOEV by or with the assistance of the same or coordinated counsel or organizations, the AAA's Mass Arbitration Supplementary Rules will apply, and the Claims will be administered in batches of up to 50 (with one arbitrator per batch where the rules permit), with remaining Claims held in abeyance until each batch concludes. Any limitations period for a Claim held in abeyance is tolled. A court may enforce this paragraph.

23.7 Time limit

To the extent permitted by law, any Claim must be brought within one year after it arises or it is permanently barred. This does not shorten any period that may not be shortened by law.

23.8 Severability

If any part of this Section 23 is found unenforceable, the remainder continues to apply, except as provided in Section 23.5. If the agreement to arbitrate is found unenforceable in its entirety, or if you opt out, Section 24 governs where Claims are brought.

23.9 Right to opt out

You may opt out of this agreement to arbitrate within 30 days after you first accept these Terms (or, if you had an account before this version took effect, within 30 days after it takes effect for you) by emailing hello@moev.app with the subject "Arbitration Opt-Out," stating your name, the email on your account and that you are opting out of arbitration. Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms.

23.10 Changes to this Section

A change to this Section after you accept it will not apply to any Claim of which you already gave notice. You may reject a material change to this Section within 30 days by notifying us as described in Section 23.9, in which case the version you last accepted continues to apply to you.

24. Governing law and venue

These Terms and any Claim are governed by the Federal Arbitration Act and the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to conflict of law principles, except that you retain any protections of the consumer laws of your state of residence that cannot be waived by contract. Any Claim not subject to arbitration (including after an opt-out) will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Knox County, Tennessee, and you and MOEV consent to personal jurisdiction there, except that small claims may be brought as provided in Section 23.4.

25. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service or the law changes. For material changes, we will provide notice in the app or by email at least 15 days before they take effect, except where a change is required sooner for legal or safety reasons, and we may ask you to accept the updated Terms. The date at the top of this page identifies the current version. If you continue to use the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms. Changes do not apply to disputes of which you have already given notice.
